JAKARTA: Actress Sheila Marcia has just released her second single Malaikat Kecilku (My Little Angel), a song she dedicated to her six-month-old baby girl Leticia Charlotte Agraciana.
Sheila said she immediately fell in love with the song, composed by ST 12’s drummer Pepep.
“Two weeks after I gave birth to Ticia, my mother and I met Pepep in a mall. We listened to the song and we were so touched with the lyrics that we both cried,” recalled the 21-year-old single mother during a recent press conference. “The song describes beautifully the love and affection of a mother for her child.”
Sheila, who recently ended her deal with dangdut singer Inul Daratista’s recording company after an unsuccesful single Damai Bersamamu (Peace with You), announced she had now signed up with Trinity Optima Production, a label for big names like ST 12, Ungu and Sherina.
“You will see me with Ticia in the video clip,” said Sheila, who spent one year in jail for possession of drugs.
“It was my idea to include her in my video, because this song for me is all about her,” added the actress, who said in April this year that her daughter’s biological father was pop band Drive’s vocalist Anji.

Peace initiative by the Younger generation – LIVING AS ONE
Share on Facebook • Share on TwitterAmbon – Sail Banda 2010, What a site to see. Young people, girls and boys, Muslims and Christians, from Amahusu and Batu Merah, put up a show that is so heart touching. They are telling everybody that no one can break the PELA GANDONG system of tolerance. The only system existing in the world, and that is in Maluku. Perhaps, it is the only tolerance, living as one system that has been working since 400 years ago. Yes it was tainted for about 7 years (Started in 1999); but the people of Maluku started to realize that it was politically driven by small group of bigot politicians in Jakarta, that has enough corrupted moneys in their account to do so.

If people been rumoring about the CIA created conflicts in many areas in Africa or Middle East. Well what happened in Maluku for 7 years is worse than what CIA has ever done. However, it is now in the past. No thanks to any politician; it was Maluku people own realization and initiative to end the no purpose conflict. AL Hisbullah Toysuta, the head of the Moslem youth said to www.voorale.com that “SU SAMPE JUA” (Enough is enough). “Before there is “SALAM” (Islam) or “SARANI” (Christianity) in Maluku, we are already Moluccans; therefore there is no reason for the two religions to be the cause of the horizontal conflict. It was politically driven by those in Jakarta, ” added Toysuta.

In SAIL BANDA 2010, on Sunday the 1st of August, a group of young people put up the show. They are telling the world that PELA GANDO lives in every heart of every Moluccan. “If you are a Moslem living in Ambon/Maluku, be a Moluccan Moslem; if you live in Ambon/Maluku and you are a Christian, be a Moluccan Christian,” said Hisbullah further. Jakarta has created a wrong paradigm, telling people that Moslem is related to Arab and Christianity to America (USA); yet those two nations have nothing to do with the two religions, said Hisbullah Toysuta, now one of the professors in National Islamic Institute in Ambon, and also running for Deputy Mayor election 2014.

During the performance one can feel the warmth of the young people, playing the traditional instruments and dancing the dances.
The question is, does peace or harmony belongs only to the world of the youngsters?

When Pela Gandong again plays the role for Peace and Unity
Share on Facebook • Share on TwitterOn Saturday, 1st of August 2010, a beautiful scene of young people from Amahusu (Christian Village) and Batu Mera (Muslim Village), together they play music and dance to entertain the audience waiting for the “Makan Patita” (Luau in Hawaii) event to begin.
Few years ago the PELA GANDONG, which is the only true religious tolerance and harmony system that works in the world, was tainted by the act of some foreign bigots politically planned from out side of Maluku. On that day, it was like Maluku telling everyone, every guest of SAIL BANDA 2010 that it will not happen again. 400 years of religious tolerance system was practiced by every village in Maluku and 5 years its was broken due to political bigots out of Jakarta, was enough.
The boys and girls of the two villages accompanied by the “Bapa Raja” of Batu Merah, were dancing, singing and playing traditional “Totobuang and Syawat”. “Tari Lenso” (Welcome Dance) was performed beautifully.

US NAVY ROCKS AMBON
Share on Facebook • Share on Twitter
Ambon – From Soul, R&B, Rock & Roll, the petty officers from the US NAVY MERCY musicians/sailors entertained the citizens of AMBON Manise, the city of Music of Indonesia. Cover tunes from Billy gene all the way to “Play that funky Music White boy……” they put up more than just a good show. Seemed like they already that Ambon likes soul music.
Two lady officers and 7 male Navy boys made Ambon sounded like you are in 3rd street Promenade, Santa Monica – LA. It was an amazing scene for many Ambonese, to see not just the magnificent US NAVY Mercy anchored so gallantly on the beautiful Ambon bay, but also to see so many Americans roaming the street the past three weeks; and to day treated by the boys and girls of Uncle Sam on the center of the city.

George Maitimu, one of the young boys watching the show said, “I have always love America, Ambon people have only two foreign countries in their hearts, Holland and USA. He said that proud fully. If you visit the suburbs of Ambon, American influence in their music and clothing style are so visible.. Today they saw live the people they so admiring play live music in their hometown.

The most heart cheering is that one of the high ranking officers of the US NAVAL SHIP MERCY had offered Ambon Jazz Plus Festival 2010 to send the same musicians to participate in the festival. It would be tan awesome contribution from the US for the festival; and the festival director, Andy Manuhutu, got the permission to take the photos for this article, on stage.

“That is what being an American is all about, which is continuously at the right moment making other people’s day. That is what Lieutenant Commander Dan Benardi did for me; he gave the privilege to take photos on stage, which no one else was permitted to do so except for the official Navy photographers. The Lieutenant made my day; what\ a blessing after being away for so long from my home in California,” said Manuhutu in detail.

What more exciting is that a communication going on at the moment where there is a possibility of the same Navy band or maybe even from the 7th Fleet will be performing at the up and coming Ambon Jazz Plus Festival, said Andy, as he was in discussion with Captain of the US Navy, Jeff Breslau.
AJPF 2010 will be honored if there is the possibility to have those US Navy boys and girls participating !!!!!!
